JAZZ ENSEMBLE - "Escargotian Dreams" is a relaxed, bossa nova chart that I wrote for my limited instrumentation jazz ensemble when I was teaching at Hayden High School in Topeka, KS. Solo changes are written in the Tpt. 1 part (but a Piano solo is featured on the recording) I later re-scored this chart for full jazz ensemble. The title "Escargotian Dreams" was decided by the students in the band and created the often debated question: "Is this about dreaming about snails...or is it about the dreams that snails have?" Regardless, I think you'll enjoy this relaxing tune.

Instrumentation: * 5 Saxes (AATTB) * 4 Tpts. * 4 Trbs. (no Bass required) * Guitar * Piano (suggested voicings written out for use if needed) * Bass (written out line w/o chord changes) * Drum Set

Register Considerations: Tpt. 1 - "G" above the top "F" line in the staff Tb. 1 - "F" above the staff
